Notice for Church Bulletins:
Please post this notice in your Church's Bulletin and/or Newsletter to encourage
registration for upcoming Walks.
If your spiritual battery is low, you may want to attend a Walk to Emmaus.
It is a three-day immersion in God's grace and love. The name comes from Luke's resurrection
story of two disciples' heartwarming encounter with the risen Christ as they walked to the village
of Emmaus. The focus of this course is self-renewal and is conducted in a manner which strengthens
faith and deepens one's Christian beliefs. The weekend is filled with fun, singing, worship,
prayer, discussions, small-group sharing, good food and daily communion. Openings are still
available for the next Walk to Emmaus.

Support Team Workers Needed - Full time or Part time
Support team workers - both full and part-time - are needed for upcoming
Walks. Couples and/or reunion groups can come and serve together for a few hours, a day,
or several days. Just contact either the support coordinator for a Walk or one of these
committee chairs to volunteer. You do need to sign up ahead of time - please do not just
"drop in" at the site - and you only pay for the meals you eat and the nights you spend.

Musicians Needed
Joyful singing is the heart of Emmaus! And to help us make joyful sounds,
musicians (both instrumental and voice) are needed for each Gathering and each Candlelight.
Sign up at a Gathering or contact the
Board's chair person for
"Music". Many thanks for your contributions to Emmaus events!
Anyone who can play the guitar or keyboard and would be interested in
serving on the music team at a Gathering please contact the contact persons for the church
hosting that Gathering.
If interested in serving on the music team
for a Walk, please contact the
Board's chairperson for "team selection".

Kairos Folks
Interested in helping with Kairos - the outreach to those in state prisons,
please contact Jim Smith (776-0957) for more information. Please prayerfully determine how
you might best become involved in this ministry.

Little Blue Songbooks
The wonderful little blue songbooks are provided to pilgrims as agape.
They are also available at Gatherings for a suggested donation to the BVEC scholarship
fund. Please support the Scholarship Fund generously when you get a little blue songbook.
